We all know those bright blue Ikea bags that we buy for 99 cents at IKEA to help us carry their products around the store or to the checkout. Apparently, the designer brand Balenciaga saw the 99 cent IKEA tote bags as an inspiration. Balenciaga is now selling what looks like a copy of the traditional IKEA tote bag for $2,145.

The two bags are both bright blue and they both have have the same structure. One of the only differences is the material. Balenciaga version of the IKEA tote bag is made from glazed leather with a small gold plate on the side of the bag with the logo BALENCIAGA engraved in it. The traditional 100% recycled plastic. The other major difference is the price. The Balenciaga tote bag is $2,145 and the IKEA tote bag is 99 cents.

The question is, which one would you buy? Would you buy the environment friendly, recycled IKEA Tote bag for 99 cents, or the Balenciaga version of the IKEA tote bag made from glazed leather for $2,145?
